Midnight at Austin Airport

As we approach our launch date, our weeks get longer and our nights have definitely been getting shorter. Thanks to this long work schedule, though, Mike Gowen was able to complete his priorities in time to make it to SXSW and we arrived last night around 1 am after a a very long flight. We got delayed at the Atlanta Airport for over an hour after we had to de-board our plane, which had a mechanical failure and then we waited around while they fetched a new airplane for us. When we arrived in Austin, there were no cabs and about 100 people in line. When we finally got to the hotel, they had given out the best rooms to guests who had arrived earlier and Mike got stuck in a smoking room!

We’re used to striving for perfection in our development of Scrapblog, so the thought did not escape us that real life is a great deal more grainy and definitely not hackable.

So, I wondered what kind of mood he would be in this morning … but he was cheerful. The energy of everyone at SXSW made us quickly forget last night’s travel and we’re very excited to be at the interactive festival, which has exceeded our expectations.

Howdy, Austin!
