Today is a very special day.

There are no cookie-cutter templates or time consuming configurators to fiddle with, just open a scrapblog and click ‘Order Prints’. It’s that easy.

Assorted books in living room

When we set out to build printing we had two simple goals: ensure our books and cards were of the highest possible quality and make the experience Scrapblog simple. We have accomplished both.

We spent months testing different papers, trying different inks, tweaking color profiles, experimenting with different glues and binding techniques and more, all to make sure the products you receive are the best they can be in every measure of quality. We are very proud that all the paper used in our products bear the Forest Stewardship Council seal, which guarantees the paper comes from forests that are managed to help conserve natural resources and protect the environment. All of this combines to create one-of-a-kind products for one-of-a-kind scrapblogs.

The process of creating your books and cards couldn’t be simpler because what you see on screen is what will arrive at your doorstep. Creating a beautiful keepsake book of your scrapblog takes just a few clicks. You aren’t constrained to special ‘Print’ templates or forced to make changes to your pages, you get the full creative freedom you have come to expect in Scrapblog.

Not only can you print your scrapblogs for yourself, but with the holidays fast approaching create the perfect personalized gifts for your friends and family or create your holiday cards right in Scrapblog, the possibilities are truly endless.

The team has worked tirelessly for many months to make this a reality and we couldn’t be happier with the results. It is a magical experience flipping through the pages of your very own scrapblog. Order yours today to experience it for yourself! Learn more

Scrapblog™ Brings Creative Freedom to Custom Photo books and Greeting Cards

September 30, 2008 | In: Press Releases | By Carlos Garcia

Users Can Now Turn Their Web-based Scrapbooks into High-quality Keepsakes

Miami, FL – Sept 30, 2008 – Scrapblog, the leading service for creating and sharing multimedia scrapbooks online, today announced the introduction of its custom printing service.

With more than 3 million scrapbook pages created since its launch in 2007, Scrapblog’s free and easy-to-use web-based application offers users the ability share online and now transform their one-of-a-kind scrapbooks into high-quality books, postcards and greeting cards. Scrapblog offers unprecedented creative leeway with hundreds of professionally designed layouts and thousands of creative elements by top artists and scrapbook designers.

“Scrapblog enhances the experience of creating a book or a card online by giving people full creative freedom,” said Carlos Garcia, CEO and Founder of Scrapblog. “Unlike cookie-cutter templates, layouts in Scrapblog can be changed and mixed to create truly personalized keepsakes.”

Keeping its commitment to quality, all books and cards ordered from Scrapblog are printed on acid-free silk paper, meticulously bound to maximize durability, and manufactured in the United States. Additionally, all Scrapblog printed products use controlled forestry paper bearing the Forest Stewardship Council seal, which guarantees the paper comes from forests that are managed to help conserve natural resources and protect the environment.

“As the most requested feature from our users, printing is a natural extension of the boundless creativity made possible with Scrapblog,” said Scrapblog Community Manager Rebecca Saylor. “With Halloween and Christmas quickly approaching, Scrapblog books make a perfect gift for those that want to give and receive something personal and unique, while Scrapblog greeting cards and postcards are great for creating custom invitations, greeting and thank-you cards.”

Scrapblog offers unparalleled flexibility, allowing users to create multiple products from the same designs without starting over. Users can mix their photos, videos, audio, text and various expressive elements without any necessary downloads from their computer or their favorite social media sites including YouTube, Photobucket and Flickr. Once created, Scrapblogs can be shared with just a few friends or the entire world as it currently supports direct publishing to Blogger, Typepad, Wordpress, Flickr, MySpace, Facebook and other popular social networking platforms.

Pages made in Scrapblog are safely stored online, which not only eliminates the risk of lost or misplaced creations, but also means that users can access their work from any computer connected to the Internet to continue creating, sharing or printing their scrapbooks.

“Scrapblog allows people to create tangible keepsakes and share their creations online from one single interface,” said Garcia. “This duality of product creation and online sharing is the best of both worlds for people who want to share and preserve their memories in the most personalized, creative way.”

‘Add a page’ gets a big upgrade

September 23, 2008 | In: New Features | By Caleb

We have just rolled out one of our most requested features, the ability to add pages from existing scrapblogs and themes.

This is so cool because now you can mix-and-match theme layouts together, use your existing layouts as a springboard for new scrapblogs, make compilation scrapblogs, or combine pages in ways we can’t even imagine.

We have heard from many of you over the past months requesting either the ability to add a theme page to your scrapblog, the ability to combine your scrapblogs, or use pages from your other scrapblogs. We thought it would be great to give you all of these options in one fell swoop. So that’s what we did.

All of these new goodies are easily accessible. Anytime you click on ‘New’ in the bottom toolbar, a window will appear that lets you choose what type of page you want to add. It is that simple!
