Hello Fellow Scrapbloggers!
By now, most of you have probably spent a few minutes checking out the new QuickMix feature available in the Scrapblog builder. Below is a video intro of the QuickMix in action.
In the next several blog posts, I will begin to point out to you some of the other new features you will see as you navigate inside the builder. Today we are going to talk about one of my favorite new features, the new pages component.
One thing we heard from you over and over was how hard it was to rearrange pages in Scrapblog. This complaint was something I definitely sympathized with because I tend to make 20+ page scrapblogs. Rearranging pages when there are a lot of them is very tedious and time consuming. Now that QuickMix can generate large scrapblogs with dozens of pages, this problem was going to get worse. Who wants to spend time rearranging, when you could be spending time creating?
The development team really thought a lot about how best to make adding, deleting and changing pages more awesome for you. Let’s check out all the cool new things you can do with the new pages system in the builder.
After you run through the QuickMix and your pages are complete, at the bottom of the canvas, you will see all the thumbnails of the pages created. Click the little gear on the thumbnail and each page will pop up a menu to delete, duplicate, add transition, and don’t publish page feature.
One of my favorite features is selecting multiple pages and moving them as a group to another part of your scrapblog. To select multiple pages, use the ctrl key (apple or command on the MAC) and click on the pages you want to move as part of your group. Once you have the pages selected, click and drag with your mouse (the pages will stack together) and drop them in the appropriate location in your scrapblog. It’s super easy!

Finally, I want to point out some familiar options that still exist. Adding blank pages, pages from a theme or from one of your other scrapblogs is still 1-click easy.

Playback options are just below the add a page option on the left-hand side of the bottom of the builder canvas.

Have fun QuickMix-ing your photos and rearranging pages. Next time we will discuss all the cool things you can do with backgrounds and the 12 new shapes we’ve added.
Cheers!
Rebecca

Nice addition.
I really like these new additions, but when I went to add a page, I wasn’t given the option to add a page from a saved scrapblog.
why there isn’t any sticker to choose when we start a new scrapblog with a theme???? thanks X)
Hi Phink2 - the stickers are included with the kits when you choose them. Click on the “Stickers” tab and they will be in your tray!
awesome
hmmm… sorry for asking again ^^ coz I still don’t get it clearly.
when we want to start making a scrapbook, there are 4 choices, start with quickmix, start with a theme, start with a blank page, and open a saved scrapblog. the stickers only appear when I choose “start with quickmix” and not when I choose “start with a theme”. I’ve noticed that it’s different from the older version (when the quickmix menu hasn’t been added). Is it right or it’s just mine that having those trouble???
sorry for asking and thanks =)
I read early on that we could combine existing scrapblogs with the quick mixes. How do we do that?? I have 3 books I’d like to combine - because I’ve purchased stickers and backgrounds in the one I’m working on, but I like the things I got in the quick mix . . . . . .
Isn’t there a way that we can have an “account” that holds our pictures, stickers, backgrounds, etc that we can use in multiple books? Otherwise you end up paying for the same stickers/backgrounds multiple times
Thanks for the feedback Jackie - that is a request that other users have made so we are definitely listening and hope to give you some news soon!
So there isn’t a way to combine existing books - we have to start over??
You can! At the bottom left-hand corner of the builder, you can “add a page” and that option gives you the option to add a pages from your existing scrapblogs.
Just the published ones right?? Because I don’t see the one I’m working on now (but haven’t published and/or printed) on the list to choose from.
And I can’t copy the stickers or backgrounds I have purchased unless I put them all on a page and bring them into the new scrapblog - right?
Sorry to be such a pain, but I love these new features and want to make the best scrapblog possible. Thanks -
yes, you can only grab pages from your published scrapblogs (now they don’t have to be public) - publishing is what actually generates the scrapblog. Saving just simply saves your work until you are ready to publish. Hope that makes sense!
IT WORKED!!! It’s a little clumsey, but it still worked. I hope you can come up with an “account” - it would sure save on server space to not have these pictures saved in multiple places -
i luv Quickmix
when i add a new page and use the option from “add from a theme”, it seems like we have only 12 themes now instead of at least 24 themes like before. is this true?
Before i was able to work on my scrapblog when i was adding more photos. i can’t now.???
