Hi again! If you haven’t noticed, we’ve been adding some new really beautiful themes for you to use. Another option to scrolling through the themes in the builder is to look at them in the Theme Gallery section of the forum.

Here are a couple of new themes that I find particularly charming. Enjoy!

Style is all about personal expression. The SISters over at ScrapInStyletv know how to strut their scrapbooking stuff and have a blast doing it.

We recently got a visit from our ScrapInStyle friends here in Miami. If you were ever curious about what goes on behind the scenes here at Scrapblog, check out the most recent episode (#71) of SIStv. This is your chance to meet the Scrapblog team!

SIStv’s digital desginer Audrey Neal has also created two really cool Scrapblog themes (I’ve included them below) and you can only access them by loading the builder from the SIStv website. So click here to get started. Jeanette and the other Fashionistas at SIStv will be giving you some challenges so keep checking the blog to join in the fun. You can check out BigSIS Jeanette’s Scrapblog profile here.

If you are already a SISter or a MiSISter, you can also post your Scrapblog pages on your SIStv profile. After you publish your Scrapblog, download the pages as a Jpeg. Feel free to add me as a contact over at SIStv (I’m rjsaylor), I want to see all of your work!

Kristina Contes totally DARES you!

May 7, 2008 | In: Scrapblog Challenge, Themes | By Rebecca

We are extremely excited to announce that talented artist, designer and scrapbooker, Kristina Contes has created some fun, funky and oh so cute backgrounds and sticker elements for Scrapblog. Her content can be found in the builder under one giant theme called “Kristina Contes” you can see the sample layouts in the theme gallery. The Kristina Contes collection is made up of 3 themes. A friendly little “Forest Creature” theme, a totally cute “Little Monsters” theme and a retro “Kitchy” theme. All the backgrounds and sticker embellishments are hand created by Kristina, she also added some to-die-for frame stamps. She has created over 75 sticker embellishments and 14 background papers so you can get really creative.

Not only is Kristina a talented artist, she also co-authored a book called “We Dare You: Scrapbook Challenges About Real Life.” This week, Kristina and Scrapblog are going to “dare you” to think outside the typical scrapblog or scrapbook layout and open your mind to creating something different. We will be adding a new “dare” everyday for the remainder of the week. Just tag your scrapblog “Dare” and the number (like today’s challenge will be “Dare32″) so we can find it. At the end of the month, Kristina will chose her favorite “dare” scrapblog and we have an exciting prize package for the winner.

Today Kristina is daring you to:

Dare 32
Hey…what’s your sign?
It’s a great pick up line…
And admit it, astrology is intriguing.
So scrap your sign people.

Have fun and push your creativity! Here’s My take on Kristina’s challenge:

Themes and Fonts

April 28, 2008 | In: Fonts, Themes | By Rebecca

May 3, 2008 is National Scrapbook Day. Here at Scrapblog, we like to think a scrapbook is anything you create that tells a story. Your scrapblog creations inspire us everyday, so as we move closer to National Scrapbook Day we know you will enjoy all the new content for your story telling. Also, to help you get more creative with your pages, I created this scrapblog of all of current fonts so you can see them in one place.

The requests keep coming in for “more boy themes, please!” Preppy Boy from Lori Barnhurst fits the bill. Lori has such a fun sense of style and you can get your grunge on using the backgrounds and stickers. This is a great theme for all those boys (or men that refuse to grow up) in your life.

“Little Chicken” is a fun theme that was created by a local graphic artist in Coconut Grove, Valentina Ramos. I met Valentina at a local art show and I fell in love with all of her designs. You will be seeing some other really cute themes from her soon so stay tuned!

The final theme I will showcase for you today is “Kiss Me” by the Gypsy Chick. The Gypsy Chick creates beautiful digital scrapbook art and we are very pleased to offer her theme for you to use in Scrapblog. “Kiss Me” provides a variety of backgrounds and stickers that will be perfect for telling all your summer stories.
