In the past few days, we have seen an enormous amount of scrapblogs created. We love to welcome the thousands of new scrapblogggers joining our passionate community each day. In order to keep up with the unprecedented growth in uploads and scrapblogs being published simultaneously, we moved portions of the Scrapblog system to Amazon’s S3 platform. The development team worked tirelessly throughout the weekend to make these upgrades. The basic upgrades are now in place so feel free to publish and upload as much as you want.

In the next couple of weeks, we will continue to make more upgrades to fully leverage from Amazon’s S3 and EC2 services. We will do our best to avoid or minimize downtime due to maintenance and upgrades.

We are making some major enhancements to the way we store your photos and published scrapblogs. These changes have been in the works for a while now, and we are excited to make the upgrades today. The service will be down for a few hours while we upgrade our systems and make sure everything is humming along. These upgrades should alleviate the uploading and publishing trouble many of you were experiencing early this week. We will keep you posted.

We’re currently making some improvements to the Scrapblog Builder. During this time, you will still be able to work on your scrapblogs and save them. However, you will not be able to upload photos or publish. These improvements are in response to your feedback and will make the entire Scrapblog system better for you.

We apologize for the Builder downtime, but please know we are working non-stop to get things running in tip-top shape.

The good news is you can still view scrapblogs, comment on scrapblogs, add people as friends, and love scrapblogs because the site is working smoothly.

Late last night we fixed the problem with uploading and publishing in the Builder. We apologize for the downtime yesterday and thank you for your support.
