Hello Fellow Scrapbloggers!!

I’m so excited to tell you about our latest Scrapblog Challenge! If you haven’t already heard, the classic Maurice Sendak storybook, “Where the Wild Things Are”, will come to life in IMAX theaters across the country beginning October 16, 2009.

The film tells the story of Max, a rambunctious and sensitive boy who feels misunderstood at home and escapes to where the Wild Things are. Max lands on an island where he meets mysterious and strange creatures whose emotions are as wild and unpredictable as their actions. The Wild Things desperately long for a leader to guide them, just as Max longs for a kingdom to rule. When Max is crowned king, he promises to create a place where everyone will be happy. Max soon finds, though, that ruling his kingdom is not so easy and his relationships there prove to be more complicated than he originally thought.

To celebrate the IMAX opening of “Where the Wild Things Are”, we challenge you to submit a story about your child’s (or your own) imaginary world using Scrapblog. Here are some ideas:

* Do you dream of running a kingdom of magical creatures?
* Maybe you have discovered a family of woodland fairies, we want to see it come to life!
* Have you flown on a rocket ship to meet Martians?
* Do dream of hitting a home run in the World Series?
* Perhaps you wish to dive to the depths of the oceans and discovered new species

There is no limit to your imagination, so let it run free! The lucky winner will be chosen at random from all the entries tagged WILDTHINGS09 and will receive the following prize package from our friends at IMAX. Your scrapblog must be created by midnight EST on October 16, 2009 to be entered into the drawing.
