Scrapblog now works with Facebook!

May 24, 2007 | In: Journaling | By Alex

There’s been much talk recently about the Facebook Developer Platform and we’re very pleased to announce our new Scrapblog application that works with Facebook! The timing was very short and our team whipped this up in about a week.

If you’re a Facebook user, please access Scrapblog at http://fb.scrapblog.com to use all the integrated features:

- You can now import your photos from Facebook and mix them with videos, audio, text and other creative elements to create multimedia scrapbooks;

- Besides your media from Facebook, you can aggregate content from your computer and from YouTube, Photobucket, Flickr, Yahoo! Photos, Webshots and other popular sites;

- After you’ve created your scrapblog, you may also easily share it with your friends on Facebook as a photo album or as a Flash file on your profile;

- In addition to Facebook, we support direct publishing to many popular social networking platforms and blogs.

Over the next few weeks, we will be adding new features for even closer interaction of scrapblogs with Facebook. We hope you’ll enjoy using Scrapblog with Facebook!

    […] I’m excited for lots of my pals who are getting to put their great Web services in front of Facebook’s large & active user base via the new developer platform announced to much fanfare yesterday.  It’s a comprehensive way to allow widgets on their network, but, as Charlie points out, the widgets will gain quick adoption via the viral nature of Facebook’s social flow. Yo how do I make one of my blogs become a flash file right on my profile???

  6. Alex May 30, 2007

    Hi Sheldon,

    When you’re done editing your scrapblog, click on the Share button and you will see options to either save as a photo album or to save as a Scrapblog flash file on your profile. If you have additional questions, please address them to feedback @ scrapblog.com

    Thanks!

    I really really really enjoy this! Only one problem - I make use of the Facebook Edition, but everytime I am done with my “masterpiece” and would like to share it on Facebook, I seem to have a problem saving it or sharing it on Facebook? And then I end up closing the window and losing my “creation”.
    Where am I going wrong??
    Please help, as this is something that I enjoy a lot!
