Spooktacular Challenge Winners!

November 21, 2007 | In: Scrapblog Challenge | By Alex

Well hasn’t the week rushed by, with the rush up to the holidays and the news about Ugly Betty and all! But the week’s not over and Rebecca, Stefy and I wanted to announce the “best-of” Halloween Spooktacular Challenge scrapblogs!. The finalists we chose from are here, here and here.

There were so many outstanding scrapblogs! Judging from the comments and reactions, Ninamor’s Red Devil scrapblog took the cake!

Ninamor says: “Here you have a celebration that we in Norway don’t do so”big” as you. When I was a child, I never knew about Halloween. It was just something we saw in movies. But now, our children know about it. And they do go “trick and treating”.”

We liked the creativeness and imagination Ninamor expressed in her scrapblog.

The other scrapblogs were brilliant as well, and sthilari’s, Lis311’s, little_m’s and PPichardo’s have a well deserved honorable mention! There are so many new techniques in these scrapblogs and it’s nice to see how unique and original each one is.

We had great fun with the Spooktacular challenge and we learned a lot from seeing how you told you Halloween stories.

But this was the first one and I’m wondering, how can we make the next challenge better?

I must tell you about my sweet little devil.
I painted her face to go “trick and treating” for Halloween.
And I think she looked soo cute!
When I carried her to the mirror, she smiled at first…
Then she got so seriously in her face.
She did not recognize her self, and she got frighten.
    he,he,he…..

Congrats to the winner!! I have to say that is pretty spooktacular! I feel kinda bad because my submission was not costumey at all! Kay this year REFUSED to wear her costume, so we got her a Halloween sweater at the last minute and got ugly looks from every neighbor because of her/our lack of being “festive” :-P Either way, it was still enjoyable for us, and I’m really glad we got it scrapblogged.. and I am honored to be honorably mentioned x-)
